VII of Wands

Gossips gossips, on the line—
talking trash all the time.
Stories twisted, twisting time—
relief in peace will be mine.

When someone does something
against the rules,
breaking chains,
cutting cords—
tongues flap and flip
right out the door.

Family tree branches
busting out,
calling each other out—
but not in the right way.
Strangling and tangling,
trying to get me finagling—
but that time's long passed.

Ears hearing anything they want
and nothing they don't—
doesn't mean right,
it only means won't.

I won't listen because
my ears are already full—
I won't see you staring,
because my eyes can ignore.

Those rings can keep blaring
day, night, endless—
and in your doubt
I found my awareness.

Peace isn't something
outside your control—
it's the calm you make
inside your own soul.

Seven telephones blare from every direction, their receivers crackling with a jagged cacophony of noise. Razor-lined cords tangle and coil, threatening to cut whatever reaches for them. At the center, Eight sits still—eyes closed, breath steady. She does not answer. She does not engage. From within, she sends out quiet protection. Grounded and unmoved, she remains untouched by the chaos surrounding her.

Sevens turn up as moments of opposition and need for action. Will you stand your ground?

The Seven of Wands speaks to overcoming obstacles through courage and firm boundaries. Not every call needs to be answered. Not every challenge deserves your energy. Voices may rise. Opinions might sharpen. People may try to pull you into conflict, into explanation, into defense. Let them. You are not required to participate.

Boundaries don’t have to be your to be heard. They are firm. Power isn’t reactive—it’s directed. There will always be invitations into distraction, into gossip, into proving yourself. Each one is a test of your focus. Each ones asks: Will you engage, or will you remain centered?

Stand your ground—not by force, but by refusal. What is meant for you will not require you to abandon yourself to claim it. People will talk. Let them. It isn’t any of your business. There will be infinite chances to get entangled and ensnared in these pointless traps of power struggle. You can get cut or cut them off.
