This is Eight Found

Sometimes as a child, I felt unseen, unheard, unloved, and rejected. I felt like trash—discarded and used. Using reclaimed objects, I create This is Eight Found. To reclaim this missing piece of myself, I found Eight. Everywhere. Places she didn’t get to go. Places she went but didn’t have fun. Places she only dreamed she could go.

Every once in while I’ll place an Eight somewhere in the world, wherever I feel like, whenever she needs to be found. It could be a print of an existing piece, an original piece, a poem, or a quick little doodle on a piece of ephemera.

If you found Eight in the wild, you can speak here.

You might feel like telling what it was like to notice her. What was she saying to you? Did you pick her up…did you take her home? Did you put her somewhere else because that is what she said?

You also don’t have to explain.

You don’t have to respond to anyone.

It’s all up to you. And Eight.

You can leave a note here or upload a pic here if you want.
