Happy birthday, baby,
and this time it’s real, not maybe–
IV of Wands Spell
Wishes granted at last enchantment,
now there’s more in store—
hoping for some coping
after that rocky storm.
I’m sitting right across from you,
no longer to you bound—
Through, true, and through,
it's still you I've found.
Happy birthday, baby,
and this time it's real, not maybe—
our tears are joy now, not crazy—
we made it out...how? safely.
Let’s drink up,
only juice in this cup.
Don’t worry, no suss—
Sisters, don’t fuss…
The cake’s safe.
It won’t erase us.
no drugs, no pills—
just good ol’ birthday thrills:
presence with presents,
balloons not buffoons,
my favorite things
that true love brings…
Only kids at this table,
no adults, unstable—
but, sisters, wake up—
we're more than just our fable…
Sing with me,
remember us three,
it’s as real as can be—
whatever we want, will be…
Happy birthday to me

IMAGE
Eight is having a party and you’re invited. A garland of Dogwood blooms frames the scene as well as holds a place for the special cake. Three ghosts sit across from Eight: two seem dazed and confused, while one is full of love. Glasses of fiery hope are filled and ready for sipping. Candles are lit and waiting for a wish. They will make it together—one candle for each—separate and together.
What will they wish for? Will they eat this cake?
DIVINATORY MEANING
When fours come up in Tarot, it’s about safety, stability and holding something in place. In the Four of Wands, you’re celebrating a milestone. You’ve reached a pause in your story—a welcome one. You are with friends, with family, with those who make you feel comfortable. The wish for expansion released in the previous card has come true. Now, the wish you’re about to make is different: to reclaim what once hurt and remake it into something healing. The birthdays from the past that didn’t work out the way you wanted can be redone. Have a party with your special people. Remind them that together, in safety, you are building a new memory built from old hurt—a new, stronger foundation. Blow out those candles and eat the cake. It’s not fake anymore.
EIGHT’S INSIGHT
When you’ve been to plenty of terrible and unfulfilled parties, you might not feel like you have much to celebrate. You wallow in those old, broken wishes that never came true. You hold resentment in your heart instead of contentment. But, you don’t have to. Look to the future. Make a new party. Invite people who will show up and dance with you. Make the cake of your dreams, bump glasses, and blow out that new, better wish—the one you didn’t get in the past—into a future of true celebration.
